Can-Am, part of the BRP motorsports group, has launched its first electric all-terrain vehicle (ATV), the Outlander Electric.
This model is designed for quiet operation, suitable for tasks like herding or hunting, and can tow more than its gas-powered counterparts due to high torque.
It features an 8.9 kWh battery, providing approximately 50 miles (80km) of range, which is half that of comparable gasoline ATVs depending on the model.
Priced at $12,999, it is now available from dealers and Can-Am’s website.
This development is relevant to the UK, where electric vehicle adoption is growing, potentially influencing rural and agricultural sectors with quieter, eco-friendly transport options.
The UK's push for net-zero emissions could see increased adoption of such vehicles in farming and leisure.
