The Streets announce major change to Manchester gig due to England World Cup

Music icon Mike Skinner, known as The Streets, has revealed a significant alteration to his sold-out Saturday evening performance in Manchester this weekend owing to the highly-anticipated World Cup Quarter Final clash between England and Norway.
The chart-topping artist is delivering two massive outdoor sold-out shows as part of the continuing Sounds of the City series at Castlefield Bowl on Friday and Saturday evenings. He was originally scheduled to appear on stage shortly before 9pm on both evenings, performing until 10.30pm. However, with England set to commence their fixture at 10pm on Saturday, a substantial modification has now been confirmed by the acts on the bill and the promoters.
Following England's dramatic 3-2 victory against Mexico at the Azteca Stadium in the early hours of Monday, their progression to Saturday's Quarter Final was secured. By Monday afternoon, an announcement was released by The Streets to confirm there would be modifications to the Saturday evening show to accommodate the 10pm kick-off.
The entire show, including doors opening and support acts, will shift one hour earlier than originally scheduled. Doors will now open at 4pm rather than the previously advertised 5pm for the Saturday 11 July gig.
The change to The Streets' set time means their support acts, including Hyde's Antony Szmierek and London's CASISDEAD, will also take to the stage an hour earlier with their sets brought forward to 5.40pm and 6.25pm respectively.
He will be delivering his landmark second album A Grand Don't Come For Free in full at both performances. The acclaimed album produced influential tracks such as Fit But Don't You Know It, Dry Your Eyes and Blinded By The Lights.
This adjustment ensures fans attending the Manchester gig can enjoy the show whilst still having the opportunity to watch England's crucial World Cup quarter-final encounter.
