Actor Charlie Sheen has opened up about a previously hidden aspect of his life in his new memoir, 'The Book of Sheen'.
During an interview on Good Morning America, Sheen, 60, revealed that at the height of his drug abuse in the late 2000s, he had sex with men and was subsequently extorted.
He felt 'held hostage' by these partners who had 'videoed things' or had other compromising material.
Sheen said he would pay them to 'just keep it quiet' and 'make it go away'.
The actor publicly revealed his HIV-positive status in 2015 and has maintained that he has always had protected sex since his diagnosis.
Sheen also spoke about his strained relationship with his daughter Sami, expressing hope that they will work it out.
