Good Morning Britain star Narinder Kaur has addressed a viral AI-generated video that showed her being dragged away from the National Television Awards (NTAs) red carpet.
The 53-year-old, a regular on the show's panel, was refused entry to the red carpet despite being an invited celebrity.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, Kaur reshared the clip and defiantly stated that she has a 'phenomenal sense of humour' and is 'ok with rejection.' A spokesperson for Kaur told The Mirror that she had been previously assured of her access but was refused entry by one of the organizers.
The spokesperson noted that 'several celebrities came over to Narinder's aid' and were also baffled by the organizer's behavior, asking why she was the only one being asked to show her tickets.
The spokesperson added that Kaur had previously won an NTA in 2002, which 'adds insult to injury.' A representative for the NTAs declined to comment.
In a video message, Kaur clarified that she was not banned and had an invite but was told it was 'not the right invite.' She had to wait for nearly two hours before organizers admitted they had made 'a huge mistake.' By then, it was too late, and she was ready to go home.
Kaur admitted that she found the incident 'humiliating and embarrassing' and that she was 'really upset' by the experience.
She expressed her hope that it was a genuine mistake.
The incident and Kaur's response have sparked conversations on social media about the treatment of celebrities at high-profile events.
The viral video has brought more attention to the incident, with many people commenting on her grace and humor in handling the situation.
