The popular Netflix teen drama 'My Life With the Walter Boys' returned for its highly anticipated second season after an 18-month hiatus, finally addressing the major cliffhanger from its previous finale.
The season concluded its tenth episode, 'Showdowns and Sparkles,' not just with narrative resolution but with a poignant and simple title card that read: 'In memory of Todd Giroux.' This dedication was for the esteemed producer who worked as an associate producer on the show's first season before his passing in July 2025 at the age of 51.
Giroux was a gifted and prolific figure in the television industry, with a career spanning over a decade and including work on major shows such as 'Animal Control,' 'Murder in a Small Town,' 'Warrior Nun,' 'Van Helsing,' and 'The Order.' Beyond producing, he contributed to numerous editorial departments and accumulated 59 production manager credits, founding his own business, Robot Post Media Services Inc.
Described as humble about his many accomplishments, his talent earned him 11 industry nominations and 11 wins.
Colleagues and friends remembered him for his warmth, creativity, dry wit, and unwavering love for his family, animals, and the many students, coworkers, and friends whose lives he touched.
Canadian screenwriter Simon Barry shared a heartfelt tribute, noting Giroux's sudden passing left a 'gaping void' in the industry and his heart, stating he didn't know anyone 'more respected and loved.' The show has been confirmed to return for a third season on Netflix.
