Erling Haaland's girlfriend wows fans at World Cup in denim shorts and cowboy boots

Erling Haaland's long-term girlfriend Isabel Haugseng Johansen has captured supporters' hearts during the World Cup, particularly through one distinctive social media post that has gone viral with fans.

Haugseng Johansen, who welcomed a son with Haaland in December 2024, has amassed a considerable following of 72,000 Instagram followers and has been posting regularly from the tournament. One reel proved particularly eye-catching and resonated strongly with supporters.

The viral post featured her wearing a Norway shirt, denim skirt and cowboy boots. The image generated enthusiastic responses from fans. "She's lovely So is Erling" commented one supporter, while another wrote "First lady of Norway". Additional admirers dubbed her "The wag of the world cup" and simply stated "So beautiful".

Haaland himself responded to the post with "Yeeeehaw", showing clear approval of his partner's World Cup fashion choice.

The couple both originate from the same Norwegian town of Bryne, though they did not meet until Haaland had relocated to Germany to join Borussia Dortmund. Haugseng Johansen took the initiative to contact the striker directly.

"She sent me a message. She played for the same club I played for Bryne so she checked me out. I didn't check her out," Haaland told NRK with a grin.

The Manchester City striker has previously revealed insights about their relationship. "I was single for quite a while. From my experience you find your girlfriend when you least expect it. If you're always looking for a girlfriend you'll never find one," he explained.

When discussing their time together, Haaland disclosed a shared passion for gaming. "It's going to be quite embarrassing for her that I say this but she likes to game too. So we game Minecraft together. We just sit and game and make houses together and everything like that. Or we go home to Bryne and order kebabs," he said.
