The Powerball jackpot has reached a staggering estimated $1.3 billion, securing its place as the fifth-largest jackpot in the lottery's history after no ticket matched all the winning numbers in Monday's drawing.
The winning numbers were 8, 23, 25, 40, 53, and the red Powerball 5, with a Power Play multiplier of 3.
Despite no one taking home the top prize, there were still numerous winners.
Ten tickets nationwide matched the five white balls to win $1 million each, with these lucky tickets sold in California, Florida, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.
Additionally, two tickets in Montana and North Carolina won $2 million by using the Power Play option.
The drawing also produced 124 tickets that won $50,000 and 25 tickets that won $150,000.
This is now the 41st drawing without a jackpot winner, a run that began after the last jackpot was claimed on May 31.
The next drawing is scheduled for Wednesday at 11 p.m.
A lucky winner would have the choice between the $1.3 billion annuity, which includes an initial payment and 29 annual payments that increase by 5% each year, or a lump-sum option of $589 million, both before taxes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 and are available at various retail locations.
Players select five white balls from a pool of 69 and one red Powerball from a pool of 26, or they can use the Quick Pick option for random numbers.
Adding the Power Play feature for an extra dollar can multiply non-jackpot prizes up to 10 times.
The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 24.9, while the odds of winning the jackpot are a long shot at 1 in 292.2 million.
