Hearts sign winger Cormac Daly after Nottingham Forest exit

Cormac Daly has completed his move to Hearts following his exit from Nottingham Forest, with the 19-year-old winger signing a two-year contract with the Scottish club. The Scotland Under-18 cap will aim to prove he can handle the step up to a massive club after three years with the Premier League side.
Daly came through Hamilton Academical's youth system before joining Nottingham Forest three years ago. However, he was unable to break into the first team at the City Ground, and his initial loan spell with Lincoln City also failed to yield significant opportunities.
His fortunes improved during the latter part of last season, when he joined Hereford on loan and made 24 appearances, scoring three goals and contributing one assist as the National League North side finished 20th of 24 teams.
Speaking to Hearts' website, Daly reflected on his time at Nottingham Forest. "I enjoyed my time at Nottingham Forest. It was three years of my life that went by fast but being there away from home helped me to develop both on and off the pitch," he said. "Going out on loan was a big thing for me too in terms of being able to get a taste of senior football. I enjoyed it."
The young winger acknowledged the challenge ahead at Tynecastle. "Moving to England three years ago was a step up for me but I'd like to think I proved I could handle it so the challenge is now to prove once again that I can handle coming to a massive club like Hearts," he added.
When asked what Hearts supporters could expect from him, Daly outlined his style of play. "I'd say I'm direct, quick, just a bit of flair, just a really attacking winger really," he said.
