Police Launch Investigation After 16-Year-Old Girl Raped in Glasgow Park
Police Scotland has launched a detective investigation following the rape of a 16-year-old girl in a Glasgow park on Friday evening.
Officers were called to Springburn Park in the north of the city at around 9.10pm after reports of the serious sexual assault.
A police cordon was immediately established around the area as forensic and detective teams began their inquiries.
Officers remained at the scene through Saturday as the investigation got under way.
Specialist detectives are working to establish the full circumstances of the attack and identify those responsible.

Police Scotland have appealed for anyone who was in the vicinity of Springburn Park on the evening of Friday 27 June and who may have witnessed anything suspicious to come forward and assist with their inquiries.
