The cruise industry is adapting to shifting passenger preferences, with cruise lines increasingly looking for ways to offer distinct travel experiences beyond traditional destinations.
Celestyal, known for its expertise in sailing around Greece and the Mediterranean, has announced a strategic expansion into the Arabian Gulf with its new 'Iconic Arabia' itineraries.
This move is a direct response to a growing demand for 'port-intensive' and culturally immersive trips to the Middle East.
The new offering, designed to feel personal and warm, includes overnight stays in key ports and unique, storytelling-led excursions.
Specifically, the Dubai-centred trips will feature late-night city discoveries, exclusive souk tours, and authentic desert encounters, allowing guests to experience the region's unique atmosphere and history.
Celestyal’s Head of UK & Ireland, Jo Lee, highlighted the value proposition of cruising in the region, explaining that it is 'completely hassle-free,' offering multiple destinations and exclusive excursions without the need for individual trip planning.
Lee asserts that the ease of travel allows people to 'truly switch off and enjoy their holiday.' The Iconic Arabia itineraries are competitively priced, starting from £259 per person (excluding flights), indicating a strong push to capture a segment of the market looking for accessible luxury and cultural exploration in the burgeoning Middle Eastern travel sector.
