Prince Harry to take Archie and Lilibet 'to visit Diana's grave' during UK trip

Prince Harry is planning to take his children Archie and Lilibet to visit their grandmother's grave during an upcoming UK trip, marking an emotional milestone for the young family.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are expected to travel to Britain in July with their two children—their first family journey to the UK in four years. The visit coincides with an event marking the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games, being held in Birmingham.
During their time in the UK, Harry has reportedly planned to take Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, to Althorp House in Northamptonshire to visit the grave of their late grandmother, Princess Diana. Diana was buried on an island at the ancestral estate following her death in a Paris car crash in 1997, when Harry was just 12 years old. She was 36.
Harry has visited his mother's grave several times since her death and brought his wife Meghan to the site in 2022, an occasion he described in his autobiography Spare as marking the 25th anniversary of Diana's death. The planned visit would be particularly significant, occurring around the time of what would have been Diana's 65th birthday on July 1.
The couple are expected to stay in royal accommodation during their visit from July 7 to 11, and there is speculation they may meet with King Charles during their time in Britain. Harry is also expected to reunite with members of Diana's family, the Spencers, including his aunts Jane and Sarah.
However, uncertainty has recently emerged over the visit after the Royal and VIP Executive Committee rejected applications for police protection. This development has cast doubt on whether the children will ultimately make the journey from their home in California, though sources suggest Harry is reassessing plans to find a way to bring them safely to the UK.
