The Hollywood Hills residence of popular singer D4vd (pronounced David), known for his hits 'Romantic Homicide' and 'Here With Me,' has become the focus of a homicide investigation after a woman’s body was discovered inside a vehicle parked at the property.
The victim, identified as Jocelyn Rivas Hernandez, 22, had been deceased inside the vehicle for an 'extended period' before being found.
The property's landlord confirmed that D4vd, 20, and his manager were staying at the Los Angeles property in September.
The County Medical Examiner has not yet determined the cause or manner of death, meaning police do not yet know if anyone has 'criminal culpability for her death beyond the concealment of her dead body.' The Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery-homicide division is actively investigating the case.
Following the discovery of Rivas Hernandez’s body, D4vd postponed his scheduled US tour appearances, which included performances at the Warfield and the Greek Theatre.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the music industry and among the singer's fanbase, raising serious questions as the investigation seeks to uncover the circumstances surrounding the woman's tragic death and the connection to the rented property.
