Coronation Street fans slam 'ridiculous' Jodie blunder as they fume 'so awkward'

Coronation Street fans have declared viewers deserve better after spotting a totally unrealistic blunder involving Jodie Ramsay in recent episodes.
Jodie made her debut in January during the Corriedale crossover episode before arriving in Weatherfield, where she revealed herself as the long-lost half-sister of Shona Platt. Since settling into life on the cobbles, she has been involved in considerable controversy, including attempts to seduce her brother-in-law David Platt and stealing items from fellow residents.
In April, she attacked Sarah Platt on the night of Theo Silverton's death. During Tuesday's June 30 episode, Sarah confronted Jodie after piecing together that she was her attacker, but the confrontation was interrupted by Lisa Swain, who arrived with fresh questions about what happened to Sarah.
Back at the Platt household, Lisa questioned Sarah while Jodie prepared tea and eavesdropped on their conversation. Viewers were swift to voice frustration over this scene. One fan wrote, "Surely Lisa couldn't interview Sarah with Jodie there, it's getting ridiculous." Another commented, "I thought that too, soooo awkward. I'm quite sure a police interview would be private and confidential, even when it's not at the station." A third remarked, "Totally unrealistic." Another agreed, "My thoughts exactly," while Susan Bray added, "100 per cent terrible mistakes the viewers could do better."
Speaking about the character, actress Olivia recently explained that trouble follows Jodie around "like a bad smell." She continued, "Whatever's going on, if there is any chaos in the street she'll probably be at the heart of it. It's the way that she is. It's who she is. It's the way she has learnt to deal with things. It's the way she goes through life."
