Police hunting man after woman raped in Clapham High Street alley

Police have released an e-fit of a suspect after a woman in her 20s was raped in the early hours of the morning following a night out in south London.
The incident occurred on Clapham High Street between 4am and 6am on February 14. The victim and another woman met the suspect outside a bar on Clapham High Street before going to a nearby supermarket. After leaving the supermarket, the victim and the suspect became separated from the other woman.
It was then that the victim was taken into an alley behind the supermarket and was raped. The victim eventually fought the man off and left the scene.
Police have described the suspect as being of Middle Eastern or southern European appearance, approximately 5ft 11 inches tall with a thin build. He has thick eyebrows, a thick beard and black hair. He was wearing a plain white top, jeans and trainers at the time of the incident.
Detective Constable Kay Paterson, who is leading the investigation, said: "The victim in this case has shown tremendous bravery coming forward in the wake of an appalling attack. She continues to be supported by specially-trained officers."
DC Paterson added: "The rape took place in the early hours on Clapham High Street. The suspect and the victim moved between multiple premises including a pub and supermarket and we are eager to speak to anyone who has any recollection of seeing them."
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information about the suspect to come forward. The investigation is ongoing as officers work to identify the man responsible for the attack.
