Derby Pride 2025 is poised to be a massive celebration of the LGBT+ community, with thousands expected to gather at Markeaton Park on Saturday, September 13.
The event, which has been running for over a decade, will feature a star-studded lineup of performers, including singer Angie Brown, Pride advocate Soraya Vivian, and former 'The X Factor' star Jake Quickenden.
Other acts include tributes to Madonna and Amy Winehouse, as well as DJs and performers like Betty Bangs and Twist and Pulse.
The festivities will run from 12 pm to 6 pm, with a two-pound entry fee at the gate.
Organizers have released a list of rules for attendees, including a ban on glass, sharp objects, fireworks, and outside alcohol, with bag searches planned for the safety of everyone.
The Met Office is forecasting brisk conditions with a high of 16°C and a possibility of rain, particularly between 3 pm and 4 pm, so visitors are advised to bring a raincoat.
Following the main event, an after-party will be held at The Crown Inn on Curzon Street, with doors opening after 6 pm and continuing late into the night.
While the roster of food vendors has not been confirmed, previous events have featured popular local businesses.
The event's spokesperson emphasized that Derby Pride is a family-friendly celebration open to everyone.
