Two men were injured after a car smashed into a tree in Birmingham on Tuesday evening. Emergency services attended the incident on Bromford Lane in Hodge Hill at 8.30pm on June 30 following reports of the collision.

Paramedics found that the car had come off the road and hit a tree. The emergency response was swift and coordinated, with two ambulances, two paramedic officers and a trauma doctor with critical care paramedic being dispatched to the scene.

A passenger, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries. He was then taken to hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The driver sustained injuries not believed to be serious and was taken to Heartlands Hospital.

An ambulance service spokesperson confirmed that two men had been injured after the collision. "On arrival crews found a car had come off the road and hit a tree. A passenger, a man, was treated for potentially serious injuries before being conveyed to hospital."

The passenger's potentially serious condition necessitated hospital admission for further medical evaluation and ongoing care. The driver's less severe injuries were appropriately managed, with transport to Heartlands Hospital arranged for assessment and treatment.
