Derek McInnes has wasted no time making his mark at Rangers, with the new manager already plotting his summer recruitment strategy following his arrival from Hearts. The Ibrox boss has moved quickly to land Ross McCrorie from Bristol City, with the versatile defender becoming his first signing in the hot seat as transfer business ramps up for the Glasgow giants.

Central to speculation has been the prospect of Cammy Devlin following McInnes from Hearts to Rangers. The midfielder is a free agent after running down his Tynecastle contract and is currently on duty with Australia. However, Record Sport understands Real Salt Lake are leading the chase for the 28-year-old, while MLS rivals Chicago Fire and Seattle Sounders have also shown interest. The Hearts Standard reports that there has been no contact between Rangers and Devlin as of yet, though the player still has an offer on the table from the Jambos.

McInnes remains focused on bolstering his midfield as the club faces decisions over Nico Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, both entering the final two years of their contracts. Norwegian midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl remains on the wanted list at Ibrox despite penning a new deal at Tromsø. The 20-year-old said "I have lived with the rumours for almost a year it's nothing new."

A centre-back is also on the shopping list. Dundee's Luke Graham is on their radar, though Portsmouth are reportedly firmly in the race for the 22-year-old. Rangers believe a 1.5 million offer with a sell-on clause would be enough to secure the defender. Zinedin Smajlovic, a standout for Sandefjord this season, is also being eyed by the Glasgow club.

Rangers have also been linked with England international Ben Godfrey on loan from Atalanta, with McInnes keen to add defensive reinforcements following the departures of Max Aarons, Nasser Djiga and Derek Cornelius to their parent clubs. Lawrence Shankland has already arrived from Hearts, reuniting with McInnes at their boyhood club.
