Rangers have completed the signing of goalkeeper Ivor Pandur from Hull City in a deal worth £6 million, with the Croatian penning a four-year contract at Ibrox. The transfer, confirmed on Tuesday, represents a significant piece of business for both clubs as Rangers pursue their stated ambition of winning their first title in six years, while Hull City use the proceeds to ease concerns over breaching Financial Fair Play regulations ahead of their Premier League return.

The 26-year-old Pandur played a pivotal role in Hull's promotion to the top flight last season, making 45 Championship appearances and keeping three clean sheets across the play-offs to help secure a 1-0 victory against Middlesbrough at Wembley. He became only the fourth goalkeeper in history to keep clean sheets in all three play-off matches. Overall, Pandur registered 14 clean sheets from 48 games last season, making 150 saves at a save percentage of 69.8 percent.

Since joining Hull from Dutch club Fortuna Sittard in January 2024 for £1.5 million, Pandur made 92 appearances in all competitions, keeping 20 clean sheets and earning the club's Player of the Year and Supporters' Player of the Year awards for the 2024-25 season. Hull released a statement saying they would "like to thank Ivor for his hard work, commitment and contribution during his two-and-a-half-year spell at the MKM Stadium and wish him well for his future career."

In a reciprocal arrangement, Rangers' existing number one Jack Butland is expected to move in the opposite direction to Hull. The 33-year-old, who has made 157 appearances for Rangers since joining in October 2023, will complete his switch to the MKM Stadium within the next 24 hours. The transfers represent significant movement in both clubs' ambitions heading into the new season, with Hull also exploring deals for Kyle Joseph, Enis Destan, David Akintola, and Abu Kamara.
