Kate Middleton's family embrace her after Three Peaks Challenge in new Snowdon photos

Newly released photographs show the Princess of Wales being welcomed by her family at the base of Snowdon after completing her Three Peaks Challenge. Kate was greeted by the Prince of Wales and their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, alongside parents Carole and Michael Middleton and brother James Middleton.

The pictures depict Kate hugging her husband, with her arms around Charlotte. Further images show her with her arm around George, holding hands with Louis and chatting with family. The final photograph features Kate with family including parents, brother and his dog.

Kate undertook the demanding Three Peaks Challenge over the weekend, climbing the tallest summits in Scotland, England and Wales—Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon—within 24 hours, starting Saturday evening. The feat generated funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The accompanying social media caption states: "This time last week completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. A huge thank you to everybody who has supported The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity."

Kate completed the challenge solo with Mountain Rescue providing assistance. Kensington Palace confirmed the expedition represented a royal first, with the princess becoming the first member of the royal family to achieve the Three Peaks challenge.

During her climb up Ben Nevis, Kate met Ted, an 11-year-old wheelchair user attempting the same challenge with his family and friends raising funds for Molly Olly's Wishes, a charity supporting children with serious illnesses.

On Monday, Kate donated to Ted's JustGiving page, set up by his father Pete Haslam. Her message read: "One of the real highlights of the Three Peaks Challenge was meeting inspiring people like you along the way. Huge congratulations to Ted Pete and the entire team for raising money for such a wonderful cause."

The page had raised more than 11 000.
