A longstanding business in Derby, the Mind furniture shop in Alvaston, is set to close its doors for good on November 15.
The mental health charity's spokesperson, Andrew Vale, director of commercial income at Mind, stated that the 'difficult decision' was made after careful consideration of the shop's long-term profitability.
The shop's lease was approaching its end, and it was not deemed viable to commit to another four-year term.
Mind regularly reviews the profitability of its shops to ensure resources are used effectively and to maximize income for the charity.
The Alvaston shop has served the local community for 15 years, taking furniture donations and providing a valuable service.
The charity expressed its gratitude to all the staff, volunteers, donors, and customers who have supported the shop since it opened in summer 2010.
Mr.
Vale added that the community's support has enabled the charity to help more people experiencing mental health problems.
Mind operates a large portfolio of charity shops and provides advice and support to thousands across the UK.
The charity hopes that residents of Alvaston will continue to support Mind in other ways to help ensure they can be there for those in need.
