A motorcyclist has been taken to the hospital following a collision that caused significant road disruption in Leicestershire.
The incident occurred around 11:39 am on Friday, September 12, on Walton Hill, near the entrance to Donington Park in Castle Donington.
According to police, the collision involved a single motorcycle.
As a result, road closures were put in place outside the SuperBike Factory at Donington Park, impacting local bus services.
Trent Barton's skylink Nottingham and my15 services had to be diverted, missing several stops including High Street, Nags Head, and Donington Park.
A police spokesperson confirmed that the motorcyclist's injuries were 'not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.' The road closures were lifted at 2:06 pm, and traffic has since returned to normal.
The timely response of emergency services ensured that the injured biker received immediate medical attention.
The incident serves as a reminder for motorists to exercise caution on the roads, especially in areas with high traffic and potential disruptions.
No other vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
