Wimbledon fans have expressed dismay at the latest pricing for refreshments at this year's championships at the All England Club in SW19, which got under way on Monday, June 29. The cost of enjoying a glass of Pimm's at the prestigious tennis tournament has become a particular point of contention among attendees.

The beloved gin-based liqueur now costs £13.45 a glass, representing a £1.20 increase from 2025. X user Adam Addicott was among the first to highlight the steep price, declaring: "Bad news for those who like drinking Pimm's at Wimbledon. The price has been increased by £1.20 to £13.45 a glass."

Spectators were quick to voice their reactions on social media. One person exclaimed: "It's £10 for a large bottle in Sainsbury's," highlighting the contrast between High Street prices and those charged at the tournament. Another fumed: "The rich don't care. They'll pay whatever they're charged for Pimm's because they're there for the day out and experience even though the majority of them know anything about tennis."

Centre Court tickets set visitors back between £80 and £350 depending on their seating position, making the day exceptionally expensive for those hoping to enjoy traditional strawberries and cream alongside their drinks.

Some attendees have suggested cost-cutting measures, with one person noting: "Not bothered as we take our own stuff." Others pointed to neighbouring venues, with one revealing that Queens recently charged £12 a glass, though customers typically buy jugs at £38, which works out to £6.33 per glass. A further suggestion came: "They should open a Spoons Wetherspoon pub at Wimbledon."

Beyond Pimm's, other drinks at the Tea Lawn Bar prove equally costly. A pint of Stella Artois costs £8.95, whilst 250ml servings of Saluti Vino Bianca and Vinicola Serena wines are priced at £13.10. Non-alcoholic options include Evian water at £5 a bottle and Coke Zero at £2.90 a can.
