A vigil has been held for Daniel Aruebose, a young boy who had been missing for several years and would have been seven years old if he were alive today.
The event took place at Donabate Green in Co Dublin after An Garda Síochána uncovered human skeleton remains in the area, which they believe belong to Daniel.
The search was initiated on September 1 following concerns raised by the child and family agency, Tusla, on August 29.
During the vigil, crowds lit candles, released blue and white balloons, and said prayers in his memory.
A local councillor, Corina Johnston, described the gathering as 'very emotional but lovely' for the community, which has been 'very upset' since the discovery.
The community is reportedly considering a permanent memorial to Daniel at the site where his remains were found.
The tragic case has deeply affected the close-knit community of Donabate.
