'Brutal' attack to be explored on 24 Hours in Police Custody tonight

Channel 4's acclaimed documentary series 24 Hours in Police Custody returns tonight with a brutal episode that has prompted viewer guidance ahead of broadcast. The groundbreaking documentary has surged in popularity since its debut more than a decade ago, with audiences eagerly anticipating fresh episodes.

Tonight's episode, titled A Moment of Madness, will air at 9pm and explores a deeply disturbing incident. According to Channel 4's synopsis: "This episode explodes onto screens as a blood-soaked man walks out of a hotel lift holding a fire extinguisher and shouting that he's killed someone. Can detectives disentangle what happened?"

Police Constable Georgina Kindred features prominently, recounting her arrival at the location. "I knew I was out of my depth," she admitted. She described encountering the male holding the fire extinguisher, explaining: "As soon as he saw me he approached me straight away and said I've killed a man he seemed very calm."

The episode incorporates disturbing CCTV footage and urgent bodycam recordings as officers piece together what actually occurred during the incident.
