Coronation Street spoilers for tonight: Cassie's revenge on Ross and Sienna accused
Coronation Street is set to deliver explosive drama this week as Cassie Plummer takes drastic action against villain Ross Wilkes ahead of her exit from the ITV soap, while Sienna finds herself accused of theft.
In Thursday's episode, Cassie calls at No. 1 and is furious to realise Ross stayed the night there and Tracy has clearly forgiven him. When Ross reveals that he starts his new job today and has to take a drug test, Cassie makes a mental note. Seeing Amy sharing her smoothies with him and filling up his travel mug, she has an idea. Mixing some of Tyrone's tablets into the drink, she makes her escape unaware she has dropped the pill packet. So Cassie takes deadly action but will she succeed with her plan.
The tensions between Cassie and Ross have been building since his dark past was exposed. During Wednesday's July 29 episode, Cassie revealed exactly who Ross was, disclosing that he paid her for sex when she was just 15, resulting in her falling pregnant with Tyrone. Ross later cornered her in the ginnel threatening her to keep quiet and not ruin his relationship with Tyrone if she wanted to live.
Meanwhile, Sienna faces accusations of theft after Nina Lucas discovers her wage packet has gone missing. After Sienna and Asha returned from their date, Sienna left abruptly, claiming she had to take her elderly aunt to Bingo. When Nina finds Asha in bed with Sienna, she becomes suspicious. Unable to find her wage packet, Nina suggests to a horrified Asha that Sienna must have stolen it. Sienna denies the accusation, branding Nina a jealous ex before storming out.
However, spoilers have confirmed what Sienna is really hiding. Next week's episodes will reveal that Sienna's mother Sadie is suffering from dementia. Sienna has been secretly dealing with her mother's care situation, explaining her mysterious behaviour and absence from work. The revelation will show that Sienna is innocent of theft and instead facing a challenging family crisis.
