Channel 4 confirms Light in the Hall replacement as Welsh drama comes to an end

Light in the Hall is coming to an end with its finale set to air this evening, Wednesday July 1, after several weeks of airing every Tuesday and Wednesday in Channel 4's primetime 9pm slot. The episode will finally reveal what really happened to Llyr Owen Ieuan Evans and whether his cousin Rhys Owen truly had anything to do with his death.
As viewers prepare to bid farewell to the Welsh drama, Channel 4 has already announced its replacement. A one-off documentary titled How to Get Filthy Rich with Gary Stevenson will air on Wednesday July 8 at 9pm in the same primetime slot.
The 90-minute film follows former Citibank trader-turned-economic campaigner Gary Stevenson as he travels across the UK to analyse structural wealth inequality and advocate for a wealth tax. According to the official synopsis, "The former finance trader Gary Stevenson now making a name for himself on social media explores the wealth gap which he believes is tearing UK society apart."
In the documentary, Stevenson meets those who are struggling as well as multi-millionaires and even some billionaires. Having made millions himself working in finance, Gary believes the solution is to tax the super-rich.
How to Get Filthy Rich with Gary Stevenson is a one-off special, so as of yet Channel 4 hasn't announced what will follow in its footsteps going forward. This means viewers will need to wait to discover what returns to the 9pm slot after the documentary concludes.
