Friends star Courteney Cox splits from Snow Patrol boyfriend

Courteney Cox has split from long-term boyfriend Johnny McDaid after more than a decade together. The Friends star, aged 62, best known for playing Monica Geller, has ended her relationship with the Snow Patrol musician, aged 49, which lasted since 2013.
Sources close to the couple have confirmed that the split, which occurred at the end of last year, was amicable. Long distance and differing schedules became too much for them to juggle.
A source told: "Johnny speaks incredibly highly of Courteney. They had a very deep relationship and they remain extremely amicable. They are great friends and care about each other very much. This was not an ugly split. They had simply reached a point where they were living different lives."
The pair first met in 2013 after being introduced through their mutual friend Ed Sheeran at a Los Angeles party. They got engaged shortly after but the relationship hit a bump in 2015 when they briefly split. By March 2016, they had reconciled. Speaking about the temporary split on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Courteney said: "He's not my fiancé. We were engaged to be married but now we're just together. We broke off our engagement and he moved to England then we got back together and it's actually better than it was before."
It has been several months since the exes have been photographed together. The last time they were pictured was in September when they attended the US Open. According to reports, Johnny is believed to be in the early stages of a new romance.
Courteney is also known for her role as Gail Weathers in the Scream franchise and shares a 22-year-old daughter Coco with her ex-husband David Arquette.
