Insider reveals whether Prince William and Kate will attend Taylor Swift's wedding

Prince William will not be in attendance at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's star-studded wedding to American football star Travis Kelce, an insider has revealed. The confirmation comes just weeks after William playfully hinted that he had been invited during an appearance on Heart FM's Breakfast show.
Taylor and Travis, both 36, are reportedly set to tie the knot this week at Madison Square Garden on Friday night in New York City. Since the pair announced their engagement in August 2025, fans have speculated about the wedding day and venue of choice, with rumours mounting in recent weeks that it would take place over the fourth of July weekend. The date marks US independence day, a national holiday known to be one of Swift's favourites, with the singer historically celebrating the day by throwing big parties.
Despite his absence, William has previously met Taylor on a few occasions, with Princess Charlotte known to be obsessed with the US singer-songwriter and her music.
The wedding celebrations promise to be particularly lavish. Fresh images of deliveries arriving at the arena have hinted that the menu for the two-day celebration will blend fine dining with comfort food, as lobster and French fries are expected to be served. Staff were photographed carrying boxes containing lobster meat and various cuts of chicken including legs, boneless, blackened and breasts. Additional boxes holding fried food such as French fries and thick-cut onion rings were spotted, alongside fresh produce including red and orange peppers, romaine lettuce, eggs, heavy whipping cream and whole milk.
Sources close to the wedding told TMZ that a castle is being constructed inside the arena to create a fairy-tale atmosphere. A red carpet has been laid near the garden's VIP entrance, presumably in readiness for some of the biggest names in pop culture. Friday's reception is rumoured to have 1,000 guests in attendance, reportedly getting under way at 3:30pm, followed by a cocktail hour and the ceremony at 5:30pm.
